What we believe
We believe the Bible (both Old & New Testaments) to be the inspired word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21
We believe God is a Trinity in unity – God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe man is created in the image of God and through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin entered the world.
Romans 3:23, 5:12
We believe salvation is only through belief and faith in Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection.
John 3:16, Ephesians 2: 8-9
We believe that one who dies without Christ is eternally lost and destined to a literal hell with no further opportunity for repentance.
Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20
We believe the community of all born-again believers makes up the church. The church being the body of Christ with Jesus as the Head.
Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 2:19-22
We believe God calls men and women to serve in the five-fold ministry and specifically equips the one called with talents and abilities for that particular office.
We believe in tithing as having existed before, during and after the Law. Tithing is representative of our personal commitment to the Lord and is a reflection of our covenant with Him.
Genesis 14:18-20, Malachi 3:10, Matthew 23:23, Hebrews 7:8
We believe in water baptism by immersion as a direct commandment of the Lord to all believers.
Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12
We believe in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper.
1 Corinthians 11:27
We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God and is available to all believers. This baptism in the Holy Spirit is a second work of grace received after salvation, the initial sign of which is speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance.
John 14: 16-17, Acts 1:8, 2:4
We believe sanctification is an on-going work of grace in the life of the believer.
2 Corinthians 3:18, 2 Peter 3:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 12:14
We believe that healing is a healing part of the atonement and can be appropriated by faith in Jesus’s redeeming work.
Acts 10:38, 1 Peter 2:24
CHRIST’S SECOND COMING:
We believe in a visible return of Christ and a literal pre-tribulation catching away of the church to meet the Lord in the air. Let it be stated that the doctrine of the rapture is not a point of fellowship in this church.
2 Thessalonians 2:7, 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18
We believe in the resurrection of the just at the return of Christ. We further believe that the righteous dead are in the presence of God until the resurrection.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 2 Corinthians 5:8
